The Interview

Well now – let me see
A pretty face – that’s a start
Can you smile, make tea
Fetch, carry,
clean up messes, finish sentences
Remember, remind, respond, react
Can you shop, decorate
Lie for me, type for me
Look lovely to me
Can you stare at flesh
Hairy chests, gaping legs
Without throwing up
Can you lubricate arbitrate
Keep the peace, never displease
Expect no credit
Can you fill gaps, draw maps
send flowers, stay for hours
Will you be loyal and devoted
Without being promoted
Well now – you’ll do
You’re discreet, complete and
Very cute – if I may say so.
